Danielle Works a Saturday

"This form is your purchase agreement and payment schedule for your new condo. I was able to negotiate a very affordable price and monthly payment. I also took the liberty to make sure you had all your utilities and phone turned on and in your name. Here's your phone number, unlisted, unless you decide otherwise," she said handing Danielle a small card and the key to her new apartment.

Lisa filed that form and brought out the last document. "This form is an affidavit that you swear your identity change is not to commit fraud. We'll also have to go to court to make your identity change final, so I will notify you when we have a court date on the books."

Taking the yellow copies of the forms and placing them in an envelope for Danielle, she said "Keep these in a safe place as well."

"Thank you, Lisa," she said, taking the envelope.

"Now the unpleasant part," Lisa said.

Danielle grinned at Lisa reference to the legal fees. "Your fees are quite worth it, believe me."

"Well, I can set up a modest payment plan-"

"That won't be necessary," Danielle interrupted. "I can pay you in full today."

"All right," Lisa said, pulling out a receipt book from her drawer. "I assume you'll be paying cash?"

"Yes. I'll work on charge cards after I visit the bank," she said chuckling.

"Okay, your total to date, including my appearance at the upcoming court date we discussed earlier, is twenty-five hundred dollars."

Danielle pulled out an envelope from her purse and began counting out Lisa's fee.

"Now there may be some small court charges when we go to the finalization, but they shouldn't amount to much and you can pay them right there," Lisa informed her as she finished counting.

"Great," she said, handing Lisa the small stack of 50-dollar bills.

After quickly counting Danielle's payment, Lisa wrote out a receipt and Danielle filed this with her other papers.
