Danielle Works a Saturday

"Yes, I'd like the best savings and checking you can offer me and I'd like to request a credit card. Will that be a problem as I'm taking an indefinite leave of absence from my job?"

"Lisa informed me of your intention to make a very large deposit. Is this still the case?"

"Yes. I'd like to put twenty-five thousand in savings and forty-five into checking and the remaining fifty thousand in some type of money market or investment account. What's the best you could offer me in those areas?"
For the next two hours, Bill and Danielle went over and set up the three bank accounts that would benefit Danielle's financial portfolio. Sharing a light lunch, they also talked about Danielle's plans for her new life.

"One more thing, Bill. I'm going to be doing quite a bit of shopping in the next few days, could you set me up with a check card? I'd rather not walk around with twenty-thousand in my purse," she said chuckling.

"No problem, Danielle. That can be done in twenty minutes." Pushing a few buttons on his phone, he instructed his head teller to process Danielle's card. Hanging up the phone he said, "Now, one more thing for you. You didn't mention transportation. Do you have plans to buy a vehicle?"

"Eventually."

"I realize you could simply buy your car outright, but as a friend, I suggest you apply for a car loan through us. Again, based on your deposits, there should be no problem getting an approval. Doing this, combined with the credit card you applied for, would do well to not only establish credit for your new identity, but increase your credit score as the loan and card gets paid off."

"Very well, Bill. Can you put in an application now and then we fill in the amount of the car later?"

"Yes, absolutely. When do you expect to go to a dealer?"

"Well, I have some business at my old job tomorrow afternoon, so I'd say around four o'clock or so."
