Danielle Works a Saturday

He had very little experience with makeup, but he smiled inwardly knowing that that was about to change. He knew enough to get by, but would have to do more, both at home and in salons, to be able to make himself up as easily and naturally as he would putting on stockings and heels.

He checked his watch to see just how much time he'd have until he arrived at his destination; just a little under an hour. As a long-time resident in the Newark area of New Jersey, Daniel had worked the better part of the last five years as office help in one of the popular shore towns in New Jersey, Red Bank. It was here he decided to live, not because he was close to work, he was going to quit anyway, but because he felt he had truly found a place he would be comfortable calling home. Nobody knew of him down there, except those few people he worked with, and they lived far enough away from the office so that he could live in relative anonymity, and become another woman in the crowd. But on second thought, what they'd think wouldn't matter either as his mind was made up. *They* would have to accept Danielle, even briefly, and that was that. Danielle would have to visit the office during regular hours to turn in her resignation anyway, so what would be the point in hiding? She wanted to be a woman; content, happy and loving herself for who she really was inside.

Which reminded him of a noontime appointment he was to keep later in the day. He found a transgender-friendly law firm and consulted with one of the "girls", a very convincing T-Girl and highly capable lawyer. Lisa helped him make all the appropriate payments and paperwork submissions so that effective today, Daniel would have all the legal documents changing his identity to "Danielle". A name change; last name included, a birth certificate, social security card and driver's license were just a few of the things he had been assisted in legally acquiring from the State. Lisa had also assisted in securing a purchase on a condo and a bank that would assist Danielle in getting started.
