Respect through sacrifice: A tranny must sacrifice something important to her to maintain her dignity and gain the (perhaps grudging) respect of others ("Leading Lady").
Revenge: A tranny avenges herself upon her tormentor or persecutor ("Everybody's Somebody Sometime"). Role-playing: A man dresses as a woman solely to please his lover. Role-reversal: Made to dress and act as a woman, a male (not a shemale) learns what it's like to be a woman (or a transwoman).
Self-respect: Pressured to be false to herself or her values, a tranny shows her respect for herself by insisting upon being who--and what--she is ("Leading Lady," "Everybody's Somebody Sometime").
Self-respect through sacrifice: A tranny must sacrifice something important to her to maintain her dignity and self-respect.

Social tolerance: Social tolerance for transvestites and transsexuals is advocated "Boy Meets Girl," "My Brother, My Sister," "Prom Night." "Pygmalion," "Sanctuary")
