Double identity: A tranny alternately lives as a man and a woman ("Two For One").

Education: In telling a story about a tranny, the author seeks to educate his or her readers about transvestites and/or transsexuals.

Exhibitionism: A tranny enjoys shocking people by displaying her unusual charms "Size Matters").

Exploitation: A tranny is forced into prostitution.

Exposure: A third party catches a transvestite or a transsexual cross dressing and/or "outs" him or her to another or to others.

Loss of virginity: A tranny loses her virginity. (This storyline differs from that of the first time storyline by describing and narrating, rather than merely recalling, the actual loss of virginity; moreover, the first time storyline may involve a subject other than the loss of the tranny's virginity, such as her first cross-dressing experience or the first time she accepted transgender status or nature.)

Love: A tranny finds her Prince Charming or knight in shining armor ("At Risk," "The Best Policy")

Magic: Through magical or scientific means, a man is transformed into a woman ("Charisma," "Charisma and Tiffany")

Masquerade: A man dresses as a woman for a Halloween party, a masquerade ball, or a part in a play or movie.

Novel experience: A tranny provides a man (or a woman) with his (or her) first experience with a shemale. (This storyline differs from that of the first time experience and the loss of virginity because it focuses upon the tranny's partner rather than upon the tranny herself.)
