Love is Grand

"As you have found out, all I have ever wanted to do was to become a woman, a beautiful woman who was feminine in every way -- dressing in beautiful clothes, wearing lacey lingerie, primping in a mirror for hours, shopping for wonderfully chic designs. I also longed for the touch of a man -- to be his lover, his partner, to share his bed, to please him in all the ways a woman can, and to receive his lust and desire. Thanks to modern marvels such as hormone therapy, plastic surgery, and even this new DNA therapy designed by a nu-woman named Dr. Melissa Feinberg, I can achieve these goals. But most of all, I wanted to be a mother, and every mother wants someday to be a grandmother. You two never knew the love of a female parent."

"Oh Mom," Pam cried -- as Pat, he never knew his real mother, as she died during childbirth, "and I gladly accept you as my mother, and Mike would accept you as his grandmother, we love you! But why did you want us to become women too?"

"Because... because of Gus," Sarah sighed. Gus Peterson was Stan's financial advisor. He had made a killing in the stock market. Gus knew Stan before he became Sarah, and was the only person from their past that Pam and Maddie knew in Beverly Hills.

"Gus knew me as Sarah first -- he saw me one day dressed up when I went out on the town before we moved to California. Fir five years I led him on, he thought I was a genetic woman. We became lovers, and never was once bothered that I was born a male. We're going to be married in the fall. But early on, I had told him that the only family I had was a beautiful daughter who was a single mom herself raising an equally beautiful young girl. I did it so that if he tried to investigate me, he'd only find the two of you, and that would throw him off the path. But I didn't count on wanting to spend the rest of my life with him... to be his woman..."

Madeline hugged Sarah. "Grandma, that's a beautiful story. I know now why you smile so brightly when Mr. Gus comes by to talk about the investments. And I understand the reason behind the story -- I think it's kind of cute."
