To a date with Storm

She was walking in comfortable looking low highs (shoes), a skirt that revealed her dancer's legs, and a thick leather jacket with metal chain accents. Our eyes met and I was smiling without even realizing it, saying hello to Storm for the first time. It was awkward at first a bit, but we got moving and things got easier and conversation came naturally though the topics were short and sweet. We discussed things more deeply over dinner and it was like dragons ruled the world.

After dinner we walked the ocean walk and Storm showed me the city like I never knew. The streets came to a quieter peace as we found ourselves sharing stories and holding hands, sitting on benches together and having a good time. Getting closer together as the night’s chill was coming on. I asked her if she would like a hot tea drink to warm her hands but she said no thanks. The date was coming to an end and Storm told me how much she enjoyed her time. She was standing on the other side of the curb on the side walk when I stumbled going to kiss her. We recovered and sweeping her in my arms I planted a kiss that left us both looking for words.

“My place.” Was all she said to me.
