When Susanna lost her second job only two days after losing her first; she had no choice but to accept her sister's kind invitation. Susanna had been loath to do so because of two things. Firstly there was pride. Although she had accepted Rachel's offer of help with paying for the children's school, she had taken pride in the fact that she could take care of her family even after her husband, Tom, ran of. Secondly there was the fact that she didn't really like her sister all that much. Although she couldn't put a finger on it, she distrusted her sister's generosity. There had to be a catch.

But there seemed to be nothing. Susanna and her children were welcomed by Rachel, who had assigned each a room. The twins were of course delighted that they should live with their aunt, but Dennis looked even more depressed than usual. The first few days were actually a nice reprieve from all the hardship they had been through. The kids could concentrate on school while Susanna tried to find a new job. Rachel actually helped her quite a bit, but times were hard and there was nothing to come by. While Susanna tried to get a job, Dennis' struggles at school became worse. He was now so far behind, his grades so bad, that he was on the verge of being kicked out only two months before the summer vacation.

Susanna was sitting one morning talking about this with Rachel. The kids were at school and Rachel had convinced Susanna to take a day off from the job search and just relax. And she was relaxing. Her relationship with her sister seemed warmer than it had ever been as they sat in the sofa sipping coffee. Susanna did most of the talking while Rachel sat nodding sympathetically.

As Susanna talked Rachel moved gradually closer until she sat right next to Susanna. She began massaging Susanna's neck softly and gently. Susanna stopped talking and looked at her sister wonderingly. What was she doing? It wasn't normal for sisters to be so intimate with each other. Just as she opened her mouth to object, Rachel pounced.
