Handjob Positions and Techniques

The Pump Action is the basic, standard technique that is likely to be used in any sex scene that features a handjob. It is also the basis for many other, more complex positions, poses, and techniques. It is simple to execute: the woman simply wraps her fingers around the shaft of the penis, thereafter pushing the skin up and down upon the penile shaft. For variation, she can increase the tempo and the intensity with which she "pumps" the skin up and down.

A variation upon the Pump Action is the Double-Fisted Pump Action, a technique in which the female uses both hands, rather than one, to effect the action, placing one fist above the other and operating them both in tandem with one another. This technique shows that the male has a fairly long penis, since its length is sufficient to accommodate both of the female's fists, and, therefore, it is favored by photographers and filmmakers as a means of suggesting that a particular male is especially virile or macho.

The Up-thrust, as its name implies, is executed by the woman's abrupt palming of the scrotum, with four fingers on one side and her thumb on the other side of the sac, followed by a forceful upward thrust of her hand as she cradles the testicles in this manner. A seemingly aggressive movement, it is appropriate for scenes involving feminine domination of men or bondage and discipline (BDSM) scenes in which the aggressor is the female.

Another position widely shown in femdom or BDSM scenes is the Palm Restraint, which is typically used with the Pump Action technique. The woman simply employs the Pump Action technique while resting the palm of her other hand upon the male's abdomen. The palm implies that she is holding him in place, or restraining, him and, of course, thereby asserting her power and authority over him. The subtext is obviously a command: "Don't get up!"

In performing the Tease maneuver, the woman uses the Pump Action technique, but keeps her face--and, more specifically, her mouth (which should effect a smile)--an inch or two from the glans of the erection; as she masturbates the penis, she pretends, several times, during the course of the scene, that she will kiss, lick, or otherwise orally service the penis, without ever actually doing so.
