Alex

He just sat there saying nothing at first. I waited for him to say something but he continued to look at the floor, almost as if he was ignoring me or acting like we never parted ways.

"Alex... What are you doing here?" I asked, hoping I didn't sound too rude. "Did something happen?"

"My parents kicked me out. They disowned me..." he answered, his voice full of lament. It was obvious he was still upset.

"What happened?" I asked curiously, but not too surprised. I always hated his parents, his dad was a muscle head jock who oozed testosterone, and since Alex was the quiet type who would rather draw or read then play sports he was nothing but a disappointment to him. His mother was as big of a bitch as his father was an ass hole, she was a lawyer so as you could imagine she was always tense as if she had a pole permanently shoved up her ass, I could always tell they saw Alex as a failure and a disappointment.

"I don't really want to talk about it right now..." he sighed coldly. I knew he meant what he said, I decided he'd tell me when he was ready.

"But long story short they kicked me out and I don't have any where's to go..." he continued explaining. "You're the only person I could really turn to, your the closest person I have, even if we haven't seen each other for years..."

"Let me guess, you want to stay here?"

"Please Ryan, it's either here or the streets!" he begged. A look of desperation grew over his face, I could tell he really needed me.

"Well, what are friends for? I can't let my best bro sleep in the streets!" What I said was true, even if was haven't seen each other for years I couldn't let my best friend sleep out on the streets. Besides, maybe it would be fun to have someone to actually hang out with.

"Thank you! Thank you!" he said repeatedly. It was obvious this meant a lot to him.

"I promise you won't even notice I'm here! I'll clean up after myself and do whatever you need me to do!" he explained, sounding a grateful as one could get.
