A little favour

It was challenging to carry the groceries up the stairs while wearing the heels and the thigh bands. It took a couple of trips up and down the stairs to get everything unloaded. Once the groceries were put away, it was time to work on Mary Ann’s wedding dress. Kathleen sent me to her bedroom to remove the suit and blouse. I hung them up in the closet. I took off the blue pumps and put on the white ones. I don’t know why I did it, it just felt right. I went back into the sewing room wearing the corset, bra and white pumps.

“Why did you change your shoes?” she asked.

“I thought it would look funny to have blue shoes under a white wedding dress.”

This made her smile. In short order, she had the petticoats and dress on me. She helped me up onto the platform after putting the collar and cuff
