“Absolutely” I said trying to contain my optimism. .

Later that afternoon, the store’s phone rang. I picked up and my heart leapt when I heard Raquel’s voice on the other end.

“I checked it out with Maria and she would be cool having a little thing with you before she leaves. But you better make it quick, honey. She’s leaving tomorrow believe it or not.”

“Thanks Raquel. I really appreciate this,” I replied still trying not to sound over zealous.

She gave me Maria’s phone number and I went on about the rest of the day at the video store. But I was so distracted by the possibilities that I could barely focus. As soon as I saw a window of opportunity, I ducked into the back room and dailed Maria’s number. She picked on on the 4th ring and answered with an obvious manufactured female sounding voice. She also had a very pronounced Spanish accent.

I explained that I was seeking a sensual experience with a CD gurl and was replying to the ad she’d placed in the classifieds. We spoke for a bit to get a feel for one another, but also for Maria to determine if it would be safe to invite me into her apartment. She did warn me that we would not see one another again as she was heading back to California because of being homesick. I pushed through the door and took the stairs two at a time. The door opened and there she stood wearing a white negligee’ white strappy evening sandals, and a long flowing silk, see through robe.
