He examined her and asked her questions, but he couldn’t wrap his mind around how someone’s physiology could change, literally overnight. He said that this kind of thing doesn’t happen outside of amphibians, insects and micro organisms. He said he’d organize a meeting with some other doctors, scientists and biologists. He took some blood and told us not to go to the hospital, since it seemed she was in no danger of injury and to avoid media attention that the situation would certainly attract.

On the car ride home, Lucy was angry that she had to go home with no answers. Her eyes were red, but it seemed she had run out of tears. When we got home, we lay on the bed and hugged it out for over and hour, not saying anything, just holding each other. When Lucy finally stirred, it was to go to the bathroom. (She told me later of how she forgot that she had a penis. She remembered what she was upset about, but I don’t know, people are weird). She said she was confused about how to pee, and how hard she found it to aim. I laugh now as I think back. When I realized she had been gone for over ten minutes I got worried. I walked to the bathroom, and looked in to see her standing naked in front of the mirror, evaluating her situation and assessing her new appendage. The sadness had faded slightly from her face, though she still looked distraught. I couldn’t help but address, in my mind, the elephant in the room, she was bigger than me. This was the first time I was calm enough to take note of what exactly Lucy’s new dick looked like.
