Stranded with Desi

We press on and it starts to rain harder and the wind starts to blow stronger. The thunder gets louder and lightening starts as well. I push on, with you behind me and I am looking for places we can go to get out if the rain. I look on the map and see what looks like a building so I turn and steer us towards that. We make our way off of the trail and back into the woods looking for someplace to hide. The terrain gets tougher since it is not as level and the rain makes it slippery. We slosh tough the wet brush and mud pushing back towards what we hope will be shelter. Finally we push through some bushes and stop to look around and see if wean see anything.
"LOOK!" You yell as you point.
I turn and look and see what you see, a house. We head straight for it and finally get to it. We climb the few steps up to the porch and reach the front door. I knock, but no one answers and all of the lights are off. I knock again and you look through the window.
"I don't think anyone is home." You say.
"What do you want to do?" I ask.
"I don't know." Oh say in a tired and frustrated tone.
"We can't just sit here." I say as I look around.
You look around too and I decide to try the door knob. I grab it and turn, and the door opens. I turn and look at you and you look back at me. We look at each other for a second and then I open the door more and slowly walk inside. You follow behind me and we enter the house.
"Hello!" I yell.
No one answers. We close the door behind us and walk through the entire house looking for someone. It doesn't look like anyone lives there year round and it doesn't look like anyone has been there in a while. There are blankets over most of the furniture and there is no food in the kitchen at all.
"I think this is someone's vacation home." I tell you as we go back into the living room.
"I think you're right." You say as we put our back packs on the floor.
